Full Circle of Living and Dying Presentation: Senior Nesting Options
When: November 19, 2023 2PM-4PM Location: Madelyn Helling Library 990 Helling Way Nevada City, CA Summary: The “Senior Nesting Options” program will present an overview of housing and services available to Seniors. It is a general program discussion, outlining life style options, licensing limitations, and generic financial information relating to each option; finding the right home in this fast-paced world of today. The goal of the presentation is finding the right home; to broaden the understanding of housing option and supportive services available for seniors: independent living considering in-home care; assisted living considering living communities, licensing, and service costs (information that seniors need to understand); continuing care communities; skilled nursing facilities. Depending on care needs or projected future care needs, decision making processes are influenced by insurance plans and pricing, understanding costs and payment options. Selecting the right “nesting place” for staying well is a significant decision that impacts seniors and families. Remember aging should be defined by peaceful years, community contribution, and self-respect and value. Looking forward to having everyone join in on the program. |
This educational event will be presented by Carolyn Seyler, RN, Full Circle of Living and Dying Co-Chair, One Source Empowering Caregivers Director. And Mary Jo Curtin RN, Board Member.
