Death Salon: Conversation About Death

When was the last time you had a conversation about death?  Better yet-- when was the last time you had a conversation about death with a group of strangers?  Unless, you have attended a death salon, chances are that your answer to this question is, “Never.”   What is a death salon you ask?  It is a gathering of a community members over tea and dessert to take part in a lively discussion about death. This is a common custom in Europe, and it is becoming more common in the U.S. Note: This is not intended as a bereavement group. 

We had a great turnout for this event. Conversation included: Can you bury in your own backyard? What is a home funeral and green burial? End-of-Life Option act. Importance of pre-planning. Sharing of personal experiences and more! Great Community!

We educate the community on all subjects pertaining to end-of-life, dying, death and after death. We have held several Death Cafe's in over the past three years. Death Salon is similar, but allows us to be open to further discussion without restrictions.
