Now that she is retired, Nancy enjoys
playing with her two young grandchildren, taking
her dog for walks on the beach and volunteering
for various social and political causes.
Nancy Jacobsen, Treasurer 2023
Nancy worked in Silicon Valley at various hardware and software companies for 25+ years. After the
dot-com bust, she became an entrepreneur and ran a small business for a number of years until she
retired in 2013. Since then she has volunteered for some dog rescue groups and a low-income medical
clinic in San Francisco.
After recovering from several bouts of cancer, Nancy got involved with the California campaign to legalize medical-aid-in-dying. She volunteered with Compassion & Choices for several years, lobbying the California legislature to pass the End-of-Life-Options Act. She and another volunteers drafted a Resolution in support of EOLOA, passed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
During the Covid pandemic, Nancy moved from the Bay Area to the Sierra Foothills, to enjoy a more
relaxed lifestyle. She likes to hike, walk her dog, read and garden. She is pleased to be a end-of-life
doula trainee and the new Treasurer for Full Circle Living and Dying.
