We gathered together a diverse group of 14 individuals who shared on topics of Near death experience, women dealing with cancer diagnosis & talking about death to children, green burial, what is involved in crematon and more.
Sunday April 26, 2015: 2:00pm-4:00pm Death Cafe- Gathering the community for a conversation about death. This was our fourth gathering for Death Cafe! Sunday April 12, 2015 2-4pm Film presentation: Death Makes Life Possible - a film by Marilyn Schlitz & Deepak Chopra . details: http://deathmakeslifepossible.com/ Followed by a presentation from Jacie Rowe of Compassion & Choices about SB 128 End-of-Life Option Act. We had over 40 people in attendance to view this wonderful film and receive education about this important California Senate Bill - End-of-Life Option, similar to the Death with Dignity act in effect in Oregon. The audience asked many questions and was very engaged in the topic! Sunday February 1, 2015 : Death Cafe- click here to learn more about this international movement, which brings friends and strangers alike together "to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their [finite] lives". We had 24 people in attendence and three circles of discussions on many topics surrounding death. Full Circle Living & Dying Collective hosted Nevada County's first Death Cafe in November 2013.
