in the Grass Valley/Nevada City area.
CREATIVE TOOLS TO NAVIGATE THE CANCER JOURNEY
Beginning 5 week session (for those dealing specifically with a cancer diagnosis):
Mondays, September 24th to October 22nd 10:30 AM to noon
In this Support Group we will:
· Create a safe place to honestly share your story
· Gain support from those who are also navigating treatment options
· Move from a sense of isolation to having partners and comrades on the journey.
· Talk about and express the psychological, emotional, social and relationship concerns as well as the effects of cancer on daily life and future plans.
· Experience ways to reduce the stress of the journey through creative expression that requires no prior experience.
· Explore life after treatment.
· Address fear of re-occurrence
· Gain tools about how to express your needs to your family, workplace and your doctors.
