FULL CIRCLE of LIVING and DYING: In-Home Funeral Education
Bringing back the loving tradition of end-of-life and after-death care in the home.
Family/community centered home funeral and after death care is a form of home vigil for your loved one, much like a traditional wake. It is a sensitive and compassionate process where family and community members, children as well as elders, can be as involved as they want to be in caring for their loved one's body while honoring one's own traditions and spirituality.
This form of family/community-centered home funeral is profoundly beautiful and healing and has the possibility of impacting everyone's attitude about death for generations to come.
Our work includes education and guidance. We train you in the care of a dying loved one, and oversee after death care so your loved one may to lie in honor at home (home vigil) for as long as needed, usually one to three days. We offer guidance for coordinating options for burial or cremation with local mortuaries and cemeteries. Home death care allows time for friends and family to gather and process grief in a loving setting, honoring the death process in your own comfortable environment.
ADVANCE PLANNING IS THE BEST WAY TO MAKE YOUR WISHES KNOWN.
Let's have step by step discussion about what you want for your own after death care, or care of a loved one. We also offer in-home individualized care plans for you and your loved ones to discuss options together - let's talk more! Call for a free phone consultation - (530)270-9839.
