Message from Doreen:
Dear Friends,
As 2023 is staring right at us, I want to share what has truly captured my heart over the last few years. Having spent my nursing career in the hospital witnessing patients die in ways they would not have chosen, I decided to dive deeply into the subject of death and dying by becoming an end of life doula. As a result, I have successfully completed a Certification program with Doulagivers International and began working as an end of life doula. These experiences have changed my familiar perspective from a medical death to a nonmedical or natural death.
The topic of death and dying is wide and deep. I want to bring it to a state of normal conversation by offering a series of in person presentations. This event, that all of us will experience someday, is one of the least talked about especially within our own families. My hope is that my course will provide attendees with an enhanced understanding of death in our culture and how we individually can plan and prepare for our own death and the death of those we love.
I have partnered with Full Circle of Living and Dying in Nevada County and No Hands Coworking in Auburn to offer these presentations, which are scheduled for the second Tuesday of the month from January through June.
Here are the details:
As You Wish: Creating a Beautiful End of Life
Second Tuesday of the month, January to June 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm
No Hands Coworking 550 High Street, Suite 107, Auburn, CA
The cost of the course is $10 per presentation. All proceeds will be split equally between Full Circle of Living and Dying and No Hands Coworking and I will donate my time as a gift to the community. Your reservation is imperative as seating is limited. RSVP/Register by emailing doreen1tucker@gmail.com
In love and light, Doreen
