About Susan
Susan Sanford is a certified coach and facilitator specializing in project coaching. She created The Great Big Gift to help people get as much of this stuff done as they can.
Susan started coaching in 2003 and was inspired to develop The Great Big Gift in response to seeing both success stories and disasters play out in the lives of friends and family members who have had to settle estates of loved ones who died.
Susan's coaching certification is through iPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching) and her Appreciative Inquiry facilitator certification is through Company of Experts. She studied natural history and biology at UC Santa Cruz, journalism at UC Berkeley, did sound effects recording and editing for radio and films for many years, and is a former instructor for the UC California Naturalist Program. In addition to The Great Big Gift, Susan also teaches Nature Playshops and is the Coordinator for the Community Support Network of Nevada County, a collaborative of 60 organizations and 450 individuals who serve kids and families. She plays a bit of ukulele, does improv and contra dancing, and has backpacked in the Sierra Nevada for many years. She loves offering tools and resources to help bring people peace of mind and live more enjoyable and meaningful lives. thegreatbiggift.wordpress.com/
